Position Description:

The Royal Caribbean Web Producer is responsible for developing, curating, and syndicating compelling content in the form of sale promotions, product descriptions, stories, FAQs, and planning tools for a range of digital products, which enable our guests to find, plan, and manage their cruise vacation. The Web Producer is an integral member of the digital marketing department actively loading and maintaining the Royal Caribbean website, Cruise Vacation Planning Portals, promotional landing pages, mobile websites, and iOS / Android apps with the goal of driving engagement, loyalty, and eCommerce sales conversion.

The digital products maintained by the Web Producer works with high level accounts in online revenue a year and will drive additional revenue growth by ensuring the content within our digital products are current, accurate, compelling, and optimized for search engines. The Web Producer understands that running a successful eCommerce content platform is about speed, accuracy, and context, while possessing the know how to make these constructs simple, engaging, and effective.

On a daily basis the Web Producer interacts with digital product owners, designers, and technology developers to make recommendations and execute best content options, quickly turn around requests for changes, and build out pages within the Content Management System (CMS). Requests range from quick efforts such as copy and image swap outs, vanity URL requests, to loading new promotion / product detail pages or new site sections, performing content production for site redesigns, or auditing and troubleshooting issues on our websites, portals, and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform media creation and content entry in the CMS, including build out of new pages, template modification, promotion creation, procuring and editing assets, ensuring link integrity, and search engine optimization
  • Maintaining the high-quality brand standards of the Royal Caribbean in the production of content, merchandizing tools, and promotions that result in continual lift in conversion rates
  • Daily review of royalcaribbean.com to identify and troubleshoot defects and content issues then solving or escalating to the digital development team
  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of our content and content management systems through the implementation and continual optimization of industry standard best practices for content management production
  • Collaborate with digital marketing team members to determine the best approach and process to deliver content and business requirements to websites and apps
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing and execute defect remediation to deliver digital product launches, enhancements, and feature updates on multiple browser and user device types
  • Hand-code HTML and CSS within the CMS to ensure content design consistency and readability within the context and layout of website pages, apps, and promotional banners
  • Design and modification of page graphics and banners with Photoshop to maximize content effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (specialization of marketing, design, user experience a plus) or equivalent professional experience
  • 1 -2 years of professional experience with:
  • Managing content for one or more of the following: digital campaigns, websites and landing pages, emails, mobile applications
  • Daily operations of managing content within a digital product using an enterprise content management system
  • Content management via an enterprise level CMS such as TeamSite, Tridion, Sitecore, Adobe CQ, WordPress for building and maintaining websites (including daily updates to copy, media, building out new pages, and troubleshooting)
  • Editing code in presentation-layer web development languages including HTML and CSS; leveraging JavaScript code libraries and snippets to embed tags and videos a plus
  • Creating, editing, and optimizing website graphics with Photoshop
  • Quality Assurance / User Acceptance Testing on desktop and mobile devices
  • Cross-browser compatibility testing with Safari, IE, Chrome, Firefox on Mac and PC
  • Working with various departments (Technology, Creative, User Experience) to develop assets and plans for A/B testing
  • Knowledge of web analytics principles and experience with major web analytics solutions (Omniture, Web Trends, Google Analytics)
  • Experience working on at least one of the following:
  • Large enterprise-level marketing sites with deep content marketing, an eCommerce or booking funnel, rich product content catalogs, and features including calendar, facets, tag management, and feeds from other core business systems
