As Shore Excursions Manager, you will be working alongside a multicultural, world-class team.   You will be responsible for supporting  Azamara Club Cruises' mission of sustaining an upmarket cruise experience with a destination-driven brand image.   In addition, you will have the opportunity to travel the world while working for a top global employer of choice.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)\:

• Directs, coaches, supports, supervises and evaluates (in conjunction with the Hotel Director), the job performance of the Shore Excursions Staff
• Responsible for the operation of the shipboard Shore Excursion program including sales, port operations, quality control and administrative functions
• Maintains shipboard shore excursion video.  Rewrites scripts when necessary.  Works with Video Programmers/Broadcast Manager to shoot footage as needed.  Also promotes Shore Excursions through all onboard advertising methods
• Meets with Tour Operators in the ports.  Reviews quality issues, future operations and previous cruise comments.  Reconciles tour tickets with operators for payment by Financial Controller or via Corporate office as stipulated in SQM policies
• Manages the financial budget for the assigned area, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost control
• Mentors, develops and provides on-the-job training to his/her staff to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement
• Monitors and manages the various assigned workstation functions.  Inspects workstations, work areas, equipment, etc. to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards

Hiring Requirements:

• Minimum of two years shipboard experience in a guest relations capacity
• Knowledge of ports and tours is required
• Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.  This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers
• Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French or German preferred
• Possess a good understanding of numbering flow u201cDebits/Creditsu201d, adjusting entries and corrections
