Azamara Club Cruises Sales and Marketing Analyst

Position Summary:

The Analyst, Marketing and Sales will be primarily responsible to analyze guest and travel partner data to enable more effective marketing and sales planning decisions. The position will lead projects and provide insights to the entire marketing organization. This role provides key support in the areas of guest and travel partner analytics, campaign strategy, build, and execution, as well as ROI measurements, reporting, data manipulation, and analysis. In addition, the analyst will work with our IT partners providing ongoing contributions to system database functionality, testing and validation across the marketing data footprint.

Responsibilities:

  • Systematically analyze guest data to maximize marketing and sales planning and decision making, as well as product development. Supports maintaining efficient and effective touch points with our guests, i.e. analysis of journey mapping execution.
  • Provide analytics and insights enabling marketing and sales to target more precisely and by extension reach the right guest who can pay the right price and thereby increase APD as well as improve booking cycle.
  • Manage and report on the data as it relates to high value guest segment of the database, and make recommendations on how to effectively execute the plan based on the data and the knowledge.
  • Identify, manage and report on guest database enhancements such as segmentation studies to provide insight on the most favorable segments, guest lifecycle u00bf new, active or dormant, their psychographics as well as behavioral attitudes to more effectively target and communicate with our guests, as well as identifying prospective guests.
  • Provide ongoing statistics from our guest database, as well as the prospect database to gauge the evolution of the database, and how to build it further. Execute a campaign testing strategy grounded in solid scientific principles.
  • Work with the communications team to support campaign execution to facilitate an effective targeting strategy that includes recommendations and segmentation for list pulls for promotional, loyalty and triggered (pre- and post-voyage communications) campaigns.
  • Measure all communications campaigns to ensure that campaigns are effective and provide a return. This includes the measurement of cost and response rates, versus dropped pieces, net ticket revenue, and onboard spend.
  • Manage travel partner high value guest analysis and provide sales management with ongoing enabling travel partners to target relevant customers.
  • Measure coop marketing managed by the SBDMu00bfs to determine which activities are efficient, recommending changes to leadership.
  • Measure strategic partner marketing spend versus.
  • Provide channel reporting on a weekly basis.
  • Utilize Siebel Loyalty, Siebel Marketing and Siebel Analytics, as well as tools such as Hyperion, and SAS to create standard and and/or adhoc reports to support the Le Club Voyage, communications programs and other marketing and sales.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline and/or directly, related equivalent experience required. MBA is preferred.

Minimum of one year of analytical experience preferably in a marketing/sales or revenue management role.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Highly analytical, well organized and strong communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate findings in a simple and/or visually simple way to absorb the data presented.
  • Effectively working with variety of teams across the organization including : Marketing Communications,
  • Relationship Marketing, Loyalty, Revenue Management and Sales
  • Proactive with an eye for process improvement
  • Experience with analytical data manipulation using query tools such as Hyperion, Tableau, Siebel Analytics, Cognos, Microstrategy, Business Objects, SQL, Analysis Services.
  • Experience in the following is highly desirable; Siebel Loyalty, Siebel Marketing, Siebel Analytics, SAS, SQL Server, PL/SQL
  • The position will be in an office setting, although a home-based office is possible.
