Photo Lab. Technician

We are looking for Photo Lab. Technician

Candidates must have at least two-year experience of working with laboratory equipment, supplies and materials typically used in instructional photographic laboratories. This role is pivotal within the Photo Department, as the Photo Lab Technician is in charge of cropping, developing, printing, modifying the pictures taken by their colleagues. Without the PLT, the production on board stops. A Photo Lab Technician is a professional who, although thrives in team working, is capable of working alone and burning the midnight oil, as they work mostly in the night to allow pictures to be sold the following morning. Previous experience as Photographer on board is highly recommendable.

Requirements

Over 25 years old
Valid passport
STCW Certificates
Crowd Management Certificate
Security Awareness certificate
Panama Seaman´s Book (will be process by us)
International Cetificate of Vaccination (yellow fever vaccine)
Update Police Clearance
Education certificate
Excellent knowledge of English plus good knowledge of one among the following languages : Italian, French, German, Spanish,    Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese

SKILLS :

• Wide experience with photo chemistry and emulsions.
• A high level of hardware and software knowledge, and an in-depth knowledge of the main photo editing softwares is requested .
• Good knowledge of photography.
• Capable of working without direct supervision
• Capable of troubleshooting and solving problems .
• The successful candidate will be highly organised, will be capable of maintaining a neat and orderly environment ensuring proper handling and disposal of photo lab chemicals.
• Ability to function as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and to provide a superior customer service complete the description.
