For a leading River Cruise Line we are looking for Sous Chefs (m/f)

Duties:

  • professional preparing and distributing of daily meals in accordance with the menu cycle
  • active support of the Executive Chef and substitution in his/her absence
  • providing support in managing, training and motivating the kitchen crew
  • placing orders and taking inventory in cooperation with the executive chef
  • jointly responsible for the supervising of costs and adhering to the budget
  • providing support in the inspecting and accepting of deliveries
  • jointly responsible for appropriate storage and keeping of goods
  • co-responsible for daily cleaning, inspecting and adhering to hygiene standards in accordance with HACCP

Requirements:

  • education as a cook
  • minimum 3 years of work experience; 1 year of leadership experience is an advantage
  • customer- and team-oriented
  • fluent in German and English, communication in English is necessary
  • Salary: by agreement

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
