Hotel Manager for Small Sea & Ocean Vessels

Responsible for managing all aspects of the onboard Hospitality Department Operations. Coordinate, monitor and support the Hospitality team in the proper execution of day-to-day duties and long-term goals. To ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and well-being. To coordinate all Crew and Administration/Financial issues.  Team player willing to deliver quality guest product by providing individualized attention, while contributing to a positive work environment. Maintain an open mind and be willing to except change by playing an active role in its development.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to maintain, monitor and support proper appliance of Grand Circle Values and Culture
• Responsible to maintain, monitor and support proper appliance of ship operating guidelines and be present during all official events.
• Assure compliance with all maritime and ship rules, regulations and procedures
• Cooperate with Nautical department for the management of Ship’s rule & regulations as well as actively participate in the conducting of all safety & environmental related procedures
• Maintain the highest sanitation and cleanliness standard according to USPH and GCCL guidelines
• Maintain working knowledge of all shipboard services, products, amenities, and equipment
• Accountable to coordinate with Nautical Department, in conducting weekly “back of the house” inspections
• Responsible for entire front desk area and gift shop and responsible for housekeeping department
• Organizing and conducting check-in and check-out
• Coordinating and supervising general administrative tasks for all departments
• Responsible for cost, revenue, and inventory administration
• Handling and resolving travelers’ concerns

Skills/Qualifications:

• Hotel school diploma or basic education equivalent is preferred
• Minimum two years of experience in the field of desired position, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant and/or hotel
• Cruise ship experience is a plus
• Candidate must hold STCW certificates
• Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and computer skills
• Fluency in English
