OBJECTIVE:

To lead and manage the ship’s overall Human Resources function on board with an emphasis on core functions such as: employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, promotions, training and development, transfer, progressive discipline, time and attendance, employee turnover and retention, berthing compliance, and ongoing HR management and administration. Provides assistance and support to all Senior Officers and onboard management when dealing with human resources issues. Serve as the contact for Compliance and Ethics and is responsible for ensuring procedural compliance with the Code of Conduct, as well as Business Ethics.

Consult with Human Resources and/or Fleet Personnel on matters for which they feel further direction and guidance is required. This position will also be charged with ensuring that the shipboard HR practices are consistent with fleet’s HR practices.

In order to consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Three to five years of human resources experience preferably in an international environment. 

To be considered for this position, non-native English speaking candidates must be able to pass a college-level TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology or related field of experience.  Master’s degree in aforementioned areas is preferred.

Contracts are 4 months onboard followed by 2 months vacation.
