The main principle of the role is to ensure a professional and smooth organisation/co-ordination of passenger requests for celebrations, blessings, hosted tables, solo travellers and other ad hoc requests during the cruise. To assist with groups, VIP’s and film crews, and to act as liaison and co-ordinator for the welfare of all passengers who become ill or injured whilst onboard.

What you will be doing

Maintain a high profile and actively PR with passengers to set the tone of an enjoyable cruise and pro-actively contact less mobile passengers to provide guidance on selecting the right tours, ensuring good holiday experience you will co-ordinate all matters relating to passenger requests for celebrations, blessings, birthdays etc. Liaison with all relevant departments to ensure the smooth co-ordination of social events within the cruise programme such as Captain’s cocktail, hosted tables, solo events etc.

Carry out desk duties as required and produce promotional material for celebration packages. Hold pager to ensure contact is made immediately in case of passenger illness or injury.

Act as liaison and co-ordinator for the welfare of all passengers who become ill or injured. Accompany passengers to the onboard infirmary and shore-side hospitals. Ensure daily follow up of all passenger welfare following any illness/incident and complete all necessary administrative reports and paperwork in a timely manner ensuring a smooth handover of information to head office, resort office, and insurance companies as necessary.

Assist with embarkation, weekly muster drills and other ad hoc duties as directed.

What we are looking for

  • Previous overseas representative or cruise industry experience essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic and positive manner.
  • Strong administrative, PC and organisational skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Resilient and flexible approach with the ability to respond to customer and company needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment with crew of different nationalities.
  • Valid medical certificate ENG1 or equivalent
  • Safety certification – STCW & Crowd Management (will be arranged upon successful application)
