Safety and Environmental Superintendent

The Company

I am currently working with a leading Cruise company, and have an exciting opportunity for a Safety and Environmental Superintendent to work in the companies Head Office.

The Role

As Safety and Environmental Superintendent you will enjoy a varied role. You will be responsible for matters concerning the companies Safety and Environmental management for the fleet.

Key responsibilities will include:

• arranging and conducting vessel audits
• ensuring that vessels are managed in line with company and legal safety regulations
• developing environmental management systems
• ensuring that relevant budgets are adhered to

The ideal candidate will have:

• Seagoing experience as Safety Officer / 1st Officer / 2nd Officer
• Experience sailing on Cruise Ships
• Lead Auditor Certification preferred
• Fluent English language skills
• Good computer skills (Word / Excel / Powerpoint)
• Strong people management and budget management skills
