3rd Engineer (Cruise) - Worldwide - Permanent

A boutique cruise line is seeking a Watch-keeping Engineer to join the team on one of their cruise ships which each have their own distinct personality. This position offers a competitive salary paid 12 months of the year.

You need to be competent to take the full watch and responsibilities for the safe and efficient operation of all the machinery within the machinery space.  

Requirements:

• OOW Engineering licence
• Watch-keeping experience preferably on cruise ships or ferries
• Experience with oil fired boiler and exhaust gas boilers including the treatment of them and cooling water systems, fresh water systems and chlorination systems.
• Experience in maintaining emergency generators and emergency compressors, fuel and diesel oil purifiers and equipment and transferring of fuel.
• Knowledge of stabilisers, thrusters, propellers, steering gear maintenance and tender/lifeboat servicing
• Excellent written and spoken English
