Salary: £37,000 per annum (£4,707 pmw)
Hours: 3 months on and 2 months off rotation.
Further Details: 3R Global are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and passionate Second Engineer Officer. It is a great opportunity to join one of the most well-renowned companies in the cruise industry.
What you will be doing:
- As Second Engineer Officer you will operate, inspect and maintain engines machinery and equipment
- As Second Engineer Officer you will lead assigned watch-keeping officers and crew in operating all engine room machinery and equipment
- You will verify compliance with relevant regulations, with particular emphasis on ETCC requirements.
- As Second Engineer Officer you will consistently monitor, controls and troubleshoots all engine machinery equipment while being on watch.
- You will immediately reports all engine space machinery or equipment damage or malfunction to the First Engineer and raises work order per Company policies.
- You will efficiently manages hotel defect chits and appropriately distributes outside of normal working hours.
- As Second Engineer Officer you will work together with the First Engineer Officer in guiding watch-keeping engine officers and crew to ensure all Engine machinery and equipment is operated in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- You will assist in conducting and facilitating on-board training for watch-keeping officers and crew.
- As Second Engineer you will assist in providing accurate and timely performance evaluations (and performance improvement plans when required) for watch-keeping engine officers.
- You will help with all training and orientation for all new-to-vessel / first-contract engine watch-keeping officers.
- As Second Engineer you will help the Staff Engineer Officer / Senior First Engineer with the cost management of the on-board Engine department to achieve all financial goals set by the Company. Always performs all duties in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, Fleet Regulations, and other internal, external, and governmental regulations as directed.
- You will oversee the safe operation of all Engine machinery in accordance with the Code of Safe Working Practices, promulgating a strong safety culture at all times.
What you’ll need:
- 2nd Engineer Unlimited License
- Certificate of Competency or Certificate of Equivalent Competency
- ENG1 or equivalent Medical
- First Aid at Sea or Medical First Aid
- Advanced Fire Fighting
- CPSC & RB
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques
- STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
- STCW Elementary First Aid
- STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
- Designated Security Duties training.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
Language Requirements
