Skills & Education:
We are looking for a Head Chef for our passenger expedition vessel, a three-mast passenger sailing schooner.
In the position of Head Chef on board you will be responsible for all galley operations:
- Cooking for approx. 45 persons ( 33 passengers, 12 crew )
- Cooking on his own, with some help from 1 steward
- Baking bread
- Cleaning/hygiene
- Stock control and ordering of food provisions
The position is very very hands on and also involves a lot of cleaning.
Candidate should also have some good knowledge about baking bread and some pastry.
Start date approx. 28 April until 16 June 17, and all goes well the company can offer a second contract period as from 28 July until 25 October.
It is a long term position, after October we will discuss the schedule for upcoming season
Salary based on experience and discussion with the company.
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the following languages is required: English, German
