LPG Fleet Manager

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a background and proven track record of technical management of LPG/ Ethylene vessels. The level of experience required will mean that candidates will have at least ~5 years experience in shore based technical management roles, with at least 2 years in a Senior Supt role or above. It is essential that you have an seagoing background, , a class 1 or 2 certificate of competency and sea time in a senior rank preferably on LPG vessels.

Your role will be to lead the buildup and development of the London based Fleet Management Team to support the in house ship management strategy, working closely with the HSEQA manager on the safe takeover of vessels into management in full compliance with the companies policies and requirements of the Safety management System. In addition, you will be required to work closely with our 3rd party managers to maintain oversight over the day to day management of the 3rd party managed fleet, ensuring that operation, maintenance and budget controls meet the standards expected. You will be responsible for the safety and technical performance of the vessels managed within the London based fleet group, including risk management, incident reporting and communicating performance statistics and performance improvement programs.

You will be based ashore at our London office reporting to the Director of Fleet and Technical Operations. You must be willing to travel locally and internationally as required in order to monitor the maintenance and condition of the vessels and as necessary when required to take part in incident investigations, audits, training programs or as required by the Director.
