Purpose of Position:

The Manager Recruiting is responsible for all recruitment related activities within our company.

The main responsibility of the Manager Recruiting is to ensure a stable pipeline of accepted candidates over all vacant positions on all vessels. This includes organizing, conducting and evaluating successful assessment centers; maintain a healthy relationship with our partner agencies and representing our company as an Employer of Choice within the cruise industry.

The Manager Recruiting will report to the Senior Manager Recruiting and will be located in Switzerland.
Travel within this position is between 60 and 70 per cent worldwide.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify recruiting profiles & selection criteria with all involved departments
  • Conduct personal and Skype interviews for onboard crew, senior officers, corporate- and head-office positions
  • Organisation and execution of assessment centers (location planning, communication with recruiting agencies worldwide, screening, selection, interviews, statistics)
  • Participate in recruiting events on board and land based throughout Europe
  • Supervision and control over candidate resource pool
  • Efficient handling of crewing requests
  • Support defining measures to establish employer branding in the relevant markets in close coordination with global marketing
  • Elaborate & implement HR-Marketing mix to attract number & quality of employees
  • Research competitor conditions, visa requirements & industry trends (Benchmarking)
  • Follow defined recruiting processes in an effective & efficient manner to ensure given budgets and optimize if necessary
  • Ensure adequate reporting of recruiting status quo & measures at all times
  • Maintain business relationships with a trusted network of high quality recruiting agencies in all relevant markets

 

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

  • Background in an operational position (F&B or Administration) in the upscale hotel industry or international and vast experience on an ocean or river vessel in an upscale cruise line
  • Full understanding of all individual positions over all departments is required
  • Professional experience in a similar position is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Fluent in English, additional languages a plus.
  • Excellent computer knowledge (Office, SuccessFactors), administrative experience
  • Excellent organisational and communicational skills
  • Ability to work independently, service-oriented and guest focused
  • Positive personality and great people judgement
  • Open for new ideas, honest, critical, energetic and enthusiastic
  • A self-starter with a can-do mindset, with complete attention to detail
  • Flexibility and stress resistance, team player, commitment, positive personality, professional appearance

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the following languages is required: English, German
