Learning & Development Manager

Be the Consummate Host by effectively developing and delivering shipboard training programs and liaising with all departments to create an optimal training experience in support of management and crew and in line with the Company’s Core Values and brand strategy.

• Works with business partners to conduct standardized business and needs analysis.
• Synthesizes data collected to identify solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Engages in regular, consistent communication with business partners, stakeholders and team members to drive successful solutions.
• Completes standardized learning consulting and needs assessment documentation.
• Engages participants through facilitation with effective questions, storytelling and other dynamic techniques.
• Uses personal experiences to make content relevant to learners.
• Creates a learner-focused environment when sharing information.
• Provides participants with feedback and coaching as they practice skills and behaviors.
• Supports accountability to performance of learning through follow-up.
• Conducts courses as described in facilitator’s guides and provides
  constructive feedback to assist in enhancing course design.
• Administers, collects and analyzes level 1 reaction data, making suggestions for improvement.
• Collects and analyzes level 2 learning data to evaluate the learning program’s knowledge transfer impact.
• Identifies level 3 behavior metrics; collects and analyzes data to evaluate the learning program’s behavioral impact. Compares observations with managers/supervisors.
• Completes standardized evaluation documentation.
• Maintains and manages scheduling of training facilities and equipment.
• Manages and communicates operationally-appropriate training calendar, in coordination with other trainers, for open enrollment, compliance, and all other training.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory training requirements.
• Maintains stock of all training materials.
• Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
