Maintenance Manager – River Cruises (Porto, Portugal)

PEOPLECONQUEST – HR is recruiting for one of our clients that is a International River Cruise Company located in the north of Portugal.

Position: Maintenance Manager

Report to: Senior Manager Maintenance

RESPONSIBILITIES

Controlling the general technical status of a vessel
Providing a report for the main office
Supporting the engineers on board for normal operations
Assisting and supervising during reconditioning
Organize technical services with local companies/ increase the network with local companies

Engineer with wide-spread experience and high versatility in different fields
Electricity (read a diagram, change basic components)
General mechanics (pump, vales, pipe circuits)
Experience and understanding of diesel motors and generators
Basic knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
Portuguese and English skills (written & verbal), German is desirable
Open for new ideas, honest, critical, energetic and enthusiastic
Flexibility and stress resistance, team player, commitment, positive personality, professional appearance
Good computer knowledge (MS Office) and basic administrative experience are desired

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
