Learning and Development Consultant - Cruise

I am currently working with a Global Leading Cruise company, and have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Consultant to join their on board team.

As a member of the Global Learning and Organisational Development Team, the L&D Consultant is responsible for influencing the career and professional development of crew members. The position delivers a variety of organisational development interventions along with professional training and development programs.
In this 'hands on' position you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, consulting and being an ambassador of the brand.

You will provide electrical support to the chief electrical technical officer and you will have specific areas of responsibility which will include:

• On-board fire detection & Suppression systems
• Bridge navigation systems
• Safety including lifeboats & Winches

The ideal candidate will be:

• Recognised qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, related field from an accredited college, university or the international equivalent.
• Senior professional versed in learning and development practices, preferably in an upscale hotel, cruise line or in a large corporate organisation.
• Knowledge of principles and techniques of coaching, mentoring and performance consulting, providing personalised services & working with senior management
• Possess superior time management and organisation skills with the ability to multitask and manage in a fast pace multicultural environment.
• Working knowledge of computers including a variety of software packages such as Excel & Word
• Able to live on-board ships and/or travel extensively
• Fluent written and spoken English

This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work on board a luxury vessel, and enjoy an attractive package of $5000 PM (on-board) & 9:3 (week rotation)!
