We are currently looking for an experienced Sanitation Officer (to join our luxury fleet. You should have a completed training in hygiene / sanitation management and have more than 5 years of professional experience, applicants with ship experience are preferred.They are responsible for the strict adherence to safety, environmental and hygiene guidelines (USPH / HACCP, ISM / & ISO, SQM) in all workflows in the hotel sector, especially in the field of food storage and processing. The Sanitation Officer works in collaboration with the Hotel Manager and the deck & engine department. In addition, you are responsible for adhering to the regulations for running temperature, dish wash, pot wash and cleaning logs.
Responsible for the handling of all cleaning products and equipment, as well as the organization of sanitation training sessions for new crew and crewmembers as well as refresher courses for the entire crew. Proper management of organizational and administrative tasks.Planned thinking and business understanding, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the relevant health and hygiene regulations are assumed.
- Formal degree in food- sanitation management from a recognized International institution.
- Strong command of the English language combined with writing skills.
- Experience in high volume operation of at least 500 meals per service.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of cruise ship-catering operation.
- Thorough knowledge of Public Health and Sanitation's regulations and procedures.
- Effective planner, problem solver and ability of successful implementations.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and demonstrations authority in front of crew.
- Ability to co-ordinate and implement work schedules according to business level.
- Fluent in interpreting and implementing company work rules.
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
