Working within the Desktop Publisher Department means putting skills into play that ensure that everyone onboard our ships, both our Guests and our onboard personnel, are constantly informed regarding the activities carried out during the cruise. The information is printed and distributed in five different languages.

The Desktop Publisher is responsible for collecting information about the various departments’ activities, and publishing all the printed material to be distributed onboard for both Guests and crew. He or she is in charge of drafting texts as well as the composition of grammar, syntax, linguistics, and graphics. Therefore, the Desktop Publisher has qualified language skills and demonstrates familiarity with word and page layout computer programs. He or she is supported by an Assistant Desktop Publisher in carrying out his or her tasks. He or she has excellent knowledge of the English language (minimum C1), with particular reference to written work, and has a good command of at least two foreign languages (minimum B1-B2).

  • Education & Professional Experience:
    • Secondary School in Languages, Hotel Management, Tourism and Informatics
  • Technical Skills:
    • MS Office, Quark Express
  • Language skills:
    • English/Italian C1
    • French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, B2

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
