We are currently looking for Destination Managers on board luxury 6+ star river passenger ships of the most luxurious company in the sector.

Position: Destination Manager
Company Name: one of the most luxury 6+ star and silver service companies
Ship Name: one of the luxury 6+ star ships of the company fleet
Basic Guaranteed Salary: Gross wage  2730 EUR per month; Net wage 2350 EUR per month
Rotation: 15 weeks onboard / 4 weeks on vacation
Social Insurance: provided by the company
Invalidity Pensions and Injury Benefits: covered by the company

General Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for all aspects of the entire Shore Excursion operation
  • Oversee the daily dispatching of tours as well as controlling of all costs
  • Manage, oversee and to assist with recommending and selling Shore side activities to Guests and making the most of their shore side experience
  • Facilitate onboard lectures, advising Guests on numerous touring options and recommendations
  • Communicate with shore side Tour Operators on a regular basis to coordinate the numerous tours and private arrangements on offer
  • Provide all documentation which is to be sent to Guests
  • Coordinate with the Ground Operators in each port to ensure tour counts are updated, to request any special arrangements and to confirm all operational issues (such as, but not limited to Tour Guides, Departure Times, changes, etc.) 
  • Inform Hotel Director of the number of Guests on tour and which times they are to return and depart on tour or in any private arrangement
  • Execute all aspects of planning and organizing of upcoming cruises and to coordinate tours with the Tour Operators in all our ports of call
  • Train, coach, council, support all the crew involved in the tour operation process
  • Ensure that any Maintenance issues in work areas are reported in a timely manner and that the work orders are followed up on accordingly
  • Ensure the Work Registration Form is completed correctly and handed in to the Hotel Director in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives
  • Do additional duties in other departments such as storing and luggage handing when necessary
  • Obtain all the appropriate clearance information for Guests and Crew (such as, but not limited to regulations for the ports, requirements, special declarations, forms etc.)

 Requirements:

  • Fluency in English
  • Scanned Diploma in English
  • Valid International passport
  • Reference letters from previous employers
