An ultra luxury cruise line are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their fleet.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, regularly communicating with the Restaurant Manager regarding restaurant matters, preparing and sending restaurant daily reports to the Restaurant Manager, ensuring that cleaning schedules are in place and being followed for each assigned restaurant, and being available on the floor to assist Crew and to interact with Residents and Guests at all times during meal periods.

Other responsibilities will include, ensuring all restaurant staff are rotated throughout all dining venues in a fair and equitable manner, exceeding Resident and Guest expectations by providing professional and personalised service using the Resident’s and Guest’s names, setting a positive example for and maintaining a good working relationship with fellow Crew Members.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager/Assistant Restaurant Manager/Maitre D’ or similar position on a luxury cruise ship, private club, boutique hotel, ultra luxury hotel or resort, be able to lead by example at all times and use a “hands-on” approach to management, and able to build morale and spirit within the team. 

Valid STCW certification will be required, as well as, a Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent.
