Finance Control Specialist

At Costa Cruises, we believe that motivation and challenges create passionate people, and passion makes the difference. We are currently looking for a Finance Control Specialist to join our Corporate Finance and Administration Department at the Company’s Headquarter in Genoa – Italy.

The role will have the responsibility of ensuring that strong finance controls are in place in the Accounting & Reporting activities.

He/she will ensure the finance processes are in line with Accounting Principles and Company’s Policies.

This role will also be heavily involved in the preparation and review of USGAAP, IFRS and Statutory Reporting, as he/she will have the primary responsibility of reviewing BS reconciliations and of defining a strong manual Journal entries approval process.

He/she may participate to special projects within Reporting department always with a strong focus on finance controls.

He/she will initiate and lead process improvements, ensure process and global policies and procedures are applied for Financial Reporting, review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensure operational and design effectiveness of the controls over financial reporting within areas of responsibility.

He/she will be a member of team, reporting to the GL&Reporting Manager.

To apply for this job at least 2/3 years of internal or external Audit experience are required.

Skills Required

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills including ability to manage multiple tasks
• Strong knowledge of accounting,  finance and basic IT concepts
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Flexible working style (easily able to adapt to change)
• Teamwork attitude;
• Knowledge of US/IFRS/Italian GAAP is required
• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley regulation and its implications is required
