Manager Nautical

Purpose of Position

As the World’s Leading River Cruise Line® and the #1 Ocean Cruise Line, we are constantly innovating our business and growing our fleet. With more than 60 river ships and 4 ocean vessels cruising for example in Europe, Asia and Russia, there is tremendous opportunity to join our dynamically growing company. For the complement of our nautical department, we are looking for a Manager Nautical.
This position is based in our European Head Office in Basel, Switzerland. Please be aware that we can only accept applicants with a valid working permit or who are eligible to work in Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting in the creation and implementation of sailing lists
• Requesting and booking of locks and berths
• Updating plans in case of deviations and change of sailing lists
• Continuous communication with our vessels
• Controlling invoices of suppliers and partners

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

• Completed vocational training
• Good organizational skills, exact working style
• Attention to detail, ability to cope with hectic situations
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English and German (both in written and spoken), French/Dutch skills would be an advantage
• Very good computer skills, especially Excel; affinity to software
