Hotel Manager (EU National) for a river cruise liner

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• In charge of smooth running of entire hotel operation on board; 
• Ensure all guest requests and complaints are addressed and followed up on
• effectively;
• In charge of reaching financial and quality targets set by the Company;
• Increase the on board revenue through the organization of well-directed selling
• activities;
• Responsible of optimal vacation rotation in all hotel departments, in cooperation with
• the shore side Hospitality HR team;
• Organize daily meetings with Department Heads to upkeep the information flow on
• board;
• Organize daily meetings with Captain and Cruise Director;
• Edit Daily Program in cooperation with the Cruise Director;
• Perform spot checks in guest and in crew areas on a daily basis;
• Be present in the restaurant during meal hours;
• Share responsibility with the Nautical department for police reports to be sent as
• required;
• Public speaking: Crew Introduction, Welcome and Farewell speeches, ship’s briefings, and speeches at other events as required;
• Ensure and manage the crew disciplinary process as per Crew Manual;
• Plan in cooperation with Captain regular safety training of crew and guests;
• Assist with ship’s opening and closing (beginning and end of season).
