A luxury cruise company is seeking an experienced Sanitation Officer to join their fleet.

The successful candidate will be responsible for theupkeep of the vessel with public health rules and regulations as outlaid in the company HESS-MS structure in the F&B department. They will also, contribute to the efficient operation of all ship board F&B operations including supervision of, Dishwashing, Pot-washing, restocking of the line with plates and crockeries, paper towel and soap restocking and the overall cleanliness of the galley and they are accountable for keeping all galley’s up to USPH/FDA standards at all times. Other responsibilities include, coordinating specific pest control activities as per the ships schedule and plan, and, providing training for new joining crew in specific Public Health required classes and providing input and guidance to the ships on board trainers who also provide crew public health training.

The applicant must be able to perform many varied jobsassociated with the cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils and facility, including but not limited to: the proper use of chemicals at proper dosing, the operation and wash down of processing equipment,manual cleaning of equipment and utensils, sweeping/ washing floors, washing walls and overhead pipes, etc.

As a candidate, you must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Sanitation Supervisor for a large cruise line or Executive Steward for a large scale hotel/resort with a high volume F&B operation, including creation of cleaning schedules and cleaning chemical storage & stock take, excellent knowledge of and experience with the US Vessel Sanitation Program (U.S.P.H.) and hold USPH certification. It is desired that you also have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to speak and write English fluently, and are able to lead teams in a positive and productive manner by inspiring and developing individuals and effectively managing processes. Up to date STCWBasic Safety Training certification is required and candidates must have a Seafarer's Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
