Director, Maritime Operations - Cruise

The Company

I am currently working with a unique luxury Cruise company, and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager/ Fleet Manager to progress into a senior level role as Director, Maritime Operations.

The Role

As Director, Maritime Operations you will report into the Vice President of the company, and enjoy a varied role.

Overseeing the Marine and Technical aspects of the business -- you will ensure that all business operations are managed in line with global maritime regulations, that they adhere to company policies, and that the passenger experience and company standards are kept at the forefront of the teams focus.
Utilising your developed management skills, you will ensure that attention is focused on guest satisfaction, budgets are adhered to, technical planning is in place, time frames are achieved, that safety awareness is promoted, and that all departments are running at a high level.

The ideal candidate will have:

-10 - 15 years Cruise experience, focusing on Marine and Technical matters
-Seagoing experience sailing at a managerial level on board Cruise ships
-New Build experience is an advantage
-Degree qualified in a Marine Profession
-PMP certification is an advantage
-Developed leadership skills
-Strong financial acumen
-Well-developed negotiation skills
-English language skills
