Public Areas and Cabin Superintendent

Saga Cruises has selected Faststream to be their exclusive recruitment partner to assemble their site team in the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg who will supervise the construction of two 999 passenger 57,000 ton luxury cruise ships that are due for delivery mid 2019 and mid 2020.

We are currently looking for a Public Areas & Cabin Superintendent who will report to the Site Manager to oversee the construction of the vessel within this expert discipline. Through regular and unscheduled inspections, tests and trials, progress reports, identifying risks etc you will ensure the highest possible standards of construction from the shipyard and its suppliers.

You will have in-depth knowledge and experience in the supervision of modern cruise ship hotel architectural design implementation, outfitting and installations in all hotel areas, with emphasis on public areas and cabins etc You will ideally have knowledge and work experience in technical outfitting in hotel areas, incl. other hotel service areas. You will have the ability to lead related technical discipline and have small team management experience. Prior experience working in Northern Germany would be advantageous and high skills of technical and architectural drawings reading and interpretation.

You will be degree qualified or have a high professional level of equivalent experience as an Architectural Design Engineer, Hotel Architect or Hotel Areas Inspector etc.
