We are looking for a dynamic and personable Tournant Chef's who have a passion for culinary teaching and cooking. As a Tournant Chef you will be a responsible for managing various food stations, cooking, supporting management, development, and training of all galley staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts all cooking demonstrations and culinary classes in the Culinary Art Center
  • Assists Executive Chef with implementing new menu items including recipe training and plate presentation
  • Implements and executes food handling and cleaning procedures in accordance with USPH standards in the galley
  • Responsible for execution of special culinary events and the implementation of all culinary council recipes.
  • Coaches and provides support to all apprentice cooks; while also assists Executive Chef with scheduling food station rotations

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a 5 star cruise ship, hotel or high profile restaurant
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory position; preferably in a multi-nationality setting
  • Degree from an accredited culinary college or university preferred; but not required
  • Proven ability to provide culinary supervision, and culinary training
  • Experience working in all major culinary food stations; while having knowledge of food safety and VSP
  • Ability to effectively teach a cooking class and give cooking lectures, demonstrations
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
