 Corporate Pastry Chef

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As a Corporate Pastry Chef, you will report directly to the Senior Corporate Executive Chef
You will liaise with all Team Members of Corporate Chefs, support Senior Pastry Chefs and on-board management

LOCATION
Europe (travelling between luxury river cruise ships)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with culinary management team to create innovative but also traditional and classic desserts as well as local/regional pastries and bakeries
• Implement all pastry menu cycles fleet wide, continue engineering and maintaining recipes libraries
• Make sure all pastry productions are in line with company`s manuals
• Actively participate in on-board production of desserts to ensure highest standards 
• Supervise, support and train senior / pastry chefs on board
• Provide consistent, clear, effective & excellent communication with vendors, colleagues, crew and onboard management, as well as office team
• Cooperate with Human Resources upon request - sourcing new talents in pastry & sweet art fields
• Support and control of culinary teams in administration and organization of daily operation including but not limited to: cost efficiency, environmental standards, on-board equipment, purchasing, safety awareness, HACCP, duty attendance control 

YOU WOULD PERFECTLY FIT TO US, IF YOU

• Have minimum 5 year's leadership experience or 5 years working experience in culinary (pastry) arts in land-based 5* hotel and/or cruise ship catering
• Are capable and experienced in training, managing & leading teams
• Have strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively with all nationalities and employees on all levels. You are a good listener
• Work with discipline, perseverance and patience, care for details as well as being able to anticipate needs and trends
• Know how to plan, organize and complete tasks within given timeframes
• Have strong ability to develop and document cultural, regional & international menus
• Understand, and live according to Uniworld Mission and Vision (find out more about us here) and stand behind your believes
• Are a citizen of the EU or Switzerland
