In a buoyant market Marella Cruises is performing well and going through an exciting time of fleet modernisation, whilst also moving to owner managed model. Marella Cruises operates a fleet of 6 ships for a UK customer base and operates out of homeports across Europe, Caribbean with a planned Asia itinerary in W18/19. As Finance Manager for Marella Cruises you will partner the Commercial team to ensure decisions are made with the correct level of financial consideration. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of the revenue (c. £500m) and variable costs (c. £200m) in the Cruise P&L as well as Ancillary contributions from our On Board Profit and Shorex functions (c. £30m). You will also coordinate the internal and external performance reporting of the Cruise business

What you will be doing

This role manages 2 people to provide full financial support to the Cruise Commercial team. It is a varied role with responsibility that spans from initial planning of fleet deployment through to reporting of final performance:You will be working with the Planning team to support ship deployment decisions. Ensuring that fleet positioning and itinerary mix scenarios are financially scrutinised to enable informed decision making. You will be heavily involved in the 5YP & Budget process, liaising with other key functions (Airline, Tour Operator, Distribution) to ensure decisions are made that are in the best interests of the wider business. You will own the Cruse model for projecting profit down to EBITA and feed into central reporting. You will be involved in the ongoing conversations around the future shape of the Marella fleetYou will coordinate the Pricing process – setting out the timelines to ensure brochure deadlines can be met and all relevant inputs delivered on time. You will relay costbase moves to the Trading team to ensure they have the correct information to make Pricing decisions. You will analyse the output and create a consolidated review for sign off with the Cruise Managing DirectorYou will be responsible for forecasting the Revenue (c. £500m) and Variable Costbase lines in the P&L (c. £200m). This will be through scrutiny of the overall trading performance which reports on a margin basis. This involves working closely with the Cruise Trading team through weekly review of key reporting output. You will monitor the R&O position and highlight to key stakeholders accordingly. You will maintain the integrity of our reported margin position through ensuring effective controls are in place and monitored. You will be responsible for weekly output of trading data around Cruise performance and its ongoing refinementYou will oversee the management of the Ancillaries budget in terms of On Board Profit and Shore Excurions. You will work the Cruise Analysts to drive insightful reporting, appropriate challenge back to the business around performance as well as business cases for new initiatives. You will help support process improvement and ensure necessary controls are in place to support Balance Sheet integrity around the reported numbersYou will be responsible for the coordination of the Cruise Reporting, both in terms of our Cruise Margin which rolls up as part of the overall UK&I number and also EBITA which is externally reported. You will hold relationships with internal Reporting and FP&A function, Group Reporting and Investor Relations team to help with consistent messaging around Cruise performance
