Fleet Captain - River Cruise

The Company

I am currently working with a luxury River Cruise Company, and have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Captain to join the team.

The Role


As Fleet Captain you will be responsible for all nautical operations within your area, and will enjoy a varied role.

Responsibilities will include providing support to the Masters on board, ensuring that the fleet is managed adhering to all nautical regulation requirements, actively monitoring the water levels and weather forecast in you areas, undertaking internal inspections and acting as a key support in any critical situations.
Based from home, you will prepare new training tools for use on board, anticipate for any potential operational issues - and ensure that the Master on board is kept up to date with any potential issues.
You will also enjoy frequent travel to the ships - performing drills, delivering crew training, undertaking internal inspections and audits. You will ensure that vessels are managed in line with company procedures, as well as in line with external regulations.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience sailing as Master on River Cruise Ships
-Excellent management and communication skills
-Excellent English (German Language skills are also an advantage)
-Well developed interpersonal skills and leadership skills
A valid driver's license is required for this position
