Purpose of Position

You are an ambitious undergraduate or have been working for a couple of years out of college and you want to develop your professional skills and learn how to work in a dynamic and curious environment, growing your role over time, then we’d love you to join our River team as Operations & Development Analyst.

In this role, you will make an impact from day one, continually building new skills and addressing new problems. As an analyst you'll embark on a career path that will help you to maximize your potential with skills that are applicable to all career trajectories in our industry. Your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. You will begin as a generalist and be placed in the thick of the action, as you work side by side with some key leaders in our organization.

This interesting and diverse position is located in Wiebelsheim/Germany and reports to the Vice President Nautical/Technical. Please note that it is a temporary role until May 2020.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take responsibility for identifying information sources, gathering and interpreting data, and presenting findings to Ops team.
  • Provide powerful facts and analyses that outline solutions and drive change in our business and products.
  • Analyze customers’ feedback, competitors and suppliers and define strategic recommendation to growth our business.
  • Manage and publish periodic reports related to cost, revenue and operational metrics across Ocean Operations
  • Collaborate with Directors and Managers across the department in building improvement solutions and implementation plans
  • Create and update presentations for the Executive management team in ongoing strategy development

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree from a renowned educational institution
  • A robust analytical skill set, an endless curiosity and a penchant for thinking the impossible
  • Deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask and work independently
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German and French are a plus

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
