Cruise Youth Staff (Carnival Cruise Lines)

Are you a youth worker or secondary school teacher looking for a new and exciting role? Look no further- we are looking for qualified staff to work with teens (aged 12-17 years) on board with Carnival Cruise Line!

You would be part of a dedicated team providing fun activities on board and in your spare time you will be able to explore amazing destinations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, USA, Australia or Europe.

Please note assessment days are to be held :

Edinburgh 1st February 2020

Manchester 3rd February 2020

London 4th February 2020

Responsibilities:

• Ensure friendly, jovial and positive attitude with teens and parents at all times
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all teens participating in activities
• Interact with teens/ guest as fits the occasion. This includes, but is not limited to hosting parties, trivia, games, karaoke, and other teen related activities
• Act in the supervisory role within the program. Organize, start- up, run, and transition all activities for the teen guest, whether within the Club O2/ Circle “C” lounge or at various lounges around the ship
• Ensure the Club O2/ Circle “C” lounge is cleaned and organized
• To maintain that Club O2/ Circle “C” supplies and property are kept in good order and that proper inventories are kept up to date
• To supervise the waterslide operations and ensure all safety rules and regulations are being followed
• Actively participate in assigned activities including, but not limited to trainings, drills, safety briefings, including “Port Manning”, meetings and performances, as required
• Must be willing to perform CPR and First Aid as needed.

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 or relevant degree in education, youth work, social work or other related qualification 
• 21 years of age or above 
• Experience working with teens in a youth work, teaching, after school club, camp counselor or sports coaching role
• Available for a 6 - 8 month contract at sea
• Available to attend an assessment day on either 6th June in Manchester or 8th June in London
