Purpose of Position

The Manager China Outbound will be in charge of analytically sizing, segmenting, defining and evaluating potential target markets in Mainland China for our European China Outbound product.

The Manager China Outbound reports directly to the Executive Director China Outbound.

This role is based in our Operations Head Office in Basel, Switzerland. Travel within this position is between 10 and 20 per cent.

Please note that we can only accept applicants who either possess a valid Swiss work permit or are eligible to work in Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Examining market relevant data
  • Preprocessing and formatting relevant data for visualization
  • Development of data models suiting the company’s requirements
  • Evaluation of market size and target groups based on different data models
  • Forecasting of potential market opportunities
  • Coordination with Public Relations agencies in Mainland China to focus on relevant markets and groups
  • Translation and interpretation of relevant industry, marketing and political articles and texts (Mandarin into English and vice versa)
  • Backing up press releases with proven data
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

  • Degree in Finance or Marketing or PhD in any natural sciences
  • Excellent Mandarin and English skills (written and verbal) are a must
  • Proven record ing managing and executing diverse and dispersed projects
  • Strong and proven analytical skills
  • Stress resistant, team player and with a positive appearance
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Experience in the cruise industry is a plus; affinity desired
