Assistant Technical Operations Manager - River Cruise

The Company

I am currently working with a luxury River Cruise Company, and have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Technical Operations Manager to join the team.

The Role


As Assistant Technical Operations Manager you will be responsible for all technical operations within your area, and will enjoy a varied role.

Reporting into the Manager of Technical Operations, your responsibilities will include ensuring the fleet is running all operations in line with the SMS, conducting ship visits, inspecting the condition of the vessels and planning any required upgrade work, inspecting planned maintenance programmes, conducting crew performance evaluations, recommending training for technical personnel, and overseeing technical purchasing plans and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Degree qualification in Marine Engineering / Engineering and Naval Architecture

-Chief Engineer Unlimited certificate

-Cruise experience sailing up to 1^st engineer (or higher)

-4/5 years cruise experience

-Existing shorebased experience as Superintendent or similar is an advantage

-Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills

-Fluent English, German language skills will be an advantage
