We are looking for experienced Compliance Officers for the role of: Sanitation Officer. The Sanitation Officer’s primary responsibility is to ensure ship compliance to company rules and regulations associated with Public Health and USPH.

The Essentials:

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the vessel with public health rules (USPH)
  • Coordinates specific pest control activities and in charge of scheduling General Service Attendants
  • Contributes to the efficient operation of all ship board F&B operations
  • Contributes to the stocking, safe use and restocking of specialized cleaning chemicals used throughout the F&B areas
  • Provides on the job training to all F&B personnel
  • Contributes to the F&B Department to ensure budgetary goals are met
  • Acts as a brand ambassador with the onboard teams supporting the company goals and brand direction.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management (preferred), or related field
  • Must have USPH certification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Sanitation Supervisor for a large cruise line or Executive Steward for a large scale hotel/resort with a high volume F&B operation, including creation of cleaning schedules and cleaning chemical storage & stock take.
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience with the US Vessel Sanitation Program (U.S.P.H.)
  • Ability to lead with a perspective in a culturally diverse and dynamic environment
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently
