Guarantee Engineer (Cruise) – Worldwide

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable Cruise company who are currently recruiting for an experienced Guarantee Engineer for a new build. This role will mainly be onboard but may also include shipyard duties

The Guarantee Engineer (GTE) will report to the New Build team, Ships Technical Superintendent and cooperate with the on-board Senior Management Team. The GTE is required to manage the ship’s guarantee process during the warranty period.

Start date = ASAP
Salary = GBP/per annum - to be discussed upon interview
Contract = 200 day
Rotation: 2months on, 2 months off

Responsibilities:

• Cooperation with Ship's Management, Deck, Technical and Hotel Officers during the Guarantee period.
• To manage outstanding issues remaining from build after the hand-over of the ship.
• Working with the ship’s Officers and the Technical Stores Manager ensure that defect equipment parts are replaced under warranty during this period and not costed to normal operational spares budgets.

Experience/ Qualifications required:

• Chief Engineer Unlimited CoC
• New Build Experience
• High Voltage Certification
• Working knowledge of computerised planned maintenance systems
• Prior management of a guarantee process
• Line Manager;
• Ideally someone that has worked as Chief / 1st Engineer, Hotel Engineer or as Ship Service Engineer
