Motorman / Research-Survey vessel

We are currently recruiting for Motorman ready to join Research-Survey vessel
Applicants must have a combination of Yacht and conventional vessel experience.
The vessel will be operated as a research vessel with yacht standard.
Embarkation beginning of next year - 2020
Salary in USD/per month worked - TBD upon interview

Introduction

This job description applies to they who are holding a Motorman position on board the vessel.

Minimum qualification requirements

The Motorman qualification shall be in line with the flag state requirements.

Authority

The Motorman is the engine assistant on board and has the authority to perform his duties as delegated. His work area is all over the vessel to perform preventive and corrective maintenance as required.

Responsibility

The Motorman has the daily responsibility to perform his job according to the Quality and Safety Management System and the work directions he gets from his executives. His main duties are:

Perform repairing, painting, lubrication, housekeeping and other maintenance jobs.

Assist in bunkering and cargo operations delegated to the engine department and contribute to ensure that the activity is in accordance with the Bunkering Procedure and the Cargo Operations document's requirements

Never perform a job without presence of valid Working Permits if it is required

Use personnel protection equipment correctly

Contribute to ensure that painting devices, power tools and other working equipment are correctly used and in good condition

The Motorman shall be familiarized with the Quality and Safety Management System and beware of all procedures and instructions related to his responsibility and tasks.

The Motorman has the responsibility to ensure the validity of his personal certificates and qualifications according to the qualification procedure.
