Technical Director - Cruise

The Company

I am currently working with a growing Cruise Company, and have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director to join the senior management team.

The Role


As Technical Director you will work in close collaboration with the Ship Management and New Building Departments - and will enjoy a varied role. You will be charged with overseeing the Technical Management of the fleet, ensuring that budgets and timelines are adhered to, and that the company's high standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities will include creating long term planned maintenance schedules, having overall control and planning for all Dry Docking activities, representing the company in negotiations with suppliers and researching new energy saving initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

-Experience as Superintendent or higher within the Cruise sector
-Strong Cruise seagoing engineering experience
-Excellent English (German Language skills are also an advantage)
-Well developed interpersonal skills and leadership skills

-A 'hands on' leadership style

-Strong project management skills
