Host / Hostess

Cruising for over 40 years, we are the owners and operators of a fleet of luxury hotel barges located in France, the Netherlands and Scotland, offering six-night all-inclusive cruises for between 8 to 12 passengers. A crew of 4 to 6 persons work on each barge. The season in European Waterways begin from mid-March to October.
Our guests are English speaker, American in a large majority. Consequently, it’s important for our crew members to speak English.

You are still looking for Host / Hostess for our season 2020.

The main duties of a Host are:

• Housekeeping: cleaning cabins, bathrooms, salon, watering the saloon’s plants, ordering flowers
• Serve at mealtimes : prepare breakfasts, aperitifs and drinks, describe the wine and cheese you serve
• Taking care of the laundry
• Make an inventory of the different stocks and watch them out: drinks, wine, cleaning products, breakfast stuff, etc.
• Prepare a clear shopping list for the chef and sometimes go shopping with him
• Give a warm welcome to the guests : take care of them and anticipate their needs

All our crewmembers are fed and housed onboard.
Tips given every week by clients.
