Job description:

• Follows the Chief Engineer's standing orders.
• Assists in the execution of maintenance as required by the BASS system / Maintenance Manual.
• Assists in maintaining all areas of the engine room and working area in a clean and safe condition.
• Reports to the First Engineer any non-conformities or hazardous occurrences observed in the course of his duties.
• Performs any additional duties as may be required by the Master or the Chief Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welding, lathe machine job
• He is in charge off all piping repair in the engine room.
• When needed he helps the plumber in accommodation area
• He is in charge of maintenance of all machine tools: drill machine, lathe machine, welding machine.
• Engine current maintenance and repair (clean purifiers; clean coolers, dismantling pumps and motors, mechanical maintenance of DG).
• Is part of the bunkering team survey
• He is in charge of cleanliness and storage of the engines tools.
