Pastry Chef

Pastry Chef on board a luxurious 4* and 5* start River Cruise Ship that sails along the European Rivers. The Pastry Chef is responsible for the preparation and distribution of daily baked goods to the maximum satisfaction of the guests under the supervision of the Sous Chef and the Executive Chef. Besides, he/she is co-responsible for the hygiene and tidiness in the galley area. The Pastry Chef reports directly to the Sous Chef.


  • Producing baked goods
  • Decorating and plating various pastries and deserts
  • Maintaining the work area to a clean, hygienic and tidy state at all times
  • Assist in other areas of the kitchen when required
  • Ordering supplies



  • At least two years of hotel or prior ship experience in a comparable position
  • Good command of English language
  • Ability to work long hours and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and patienceAbility to bake
  • Artistic ability and creativity
  • Stress resistant
  • A flexible and motivated team player
  • A degree from a culinary school will be considered as an advantage
