Chief Officer / 1st Mate - US citizens only

This position is for Chief Officer (1st Mate) of one our 50ft to 80ft vessels.

Mate responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Safe operation of the vessel
• Safety of the passengers aboard the vessel
• Managing Crew members at the direction of the captain
• Cleanliness of the vessel
• Restocking and outfitting of the vessel
• Reporting any vessel deficiencies
• Staging of the vessel for other operations

Requirements;

• Must hold a valid USCG Masters MMC w/ Great Lakes endorsement
• Must have (or complete) First Aid/CPR training certification
• Must be enrolled in our random drug testing program once hired
• Prior charter or professional vessel operation experience is preferred

Two Positions Available;

• Primary Mate position to work approximately 40 to 60 hour per week during the season
• Relief Mate position can be part time, approx. 1 or 2 days per week (or as needed)

Season & Position Duration

• Chicago season starts in May and ends Nov 1st.
• Desire a May start date (but are flexible) and ends Mid-October

Compensation

• $16 per hour, plus tip pool and cash gratuities
• 50% off food and drinks at the shoreside facilities the day you work
• Season Bonus program ($1 per hour for every hour worked)
