Restaurant and Bar manager

We are looking for a Fluent French Speaking Head of department – Restaurant and Bar Manager – to join our five-masted cruise ship.

Start: end of August'21
Contract: 4+-1 months

Responsibilities:

As Head of the restaurant and bar sub-department You are responsible for :

• Organizing and supervising of bar and restaurant personnel, preparing and implementing working schedules in compliance with MLC and Company regulations;
• Ensuring safe working practices according to ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Standard);
• Financial reporting, invoicing and cost control;

Day-to-day operation of the entire bar and restaurant department:

• Monitoring and controlling the quality of all food and beverage items;
• Ensuring proper table set-up for each meal time;
• Reporting all technical malfunctions and necessary repairs, issuing AVO’s as per the established procedure;
• Conducting daily inspection of all bars, restaurants and public rooms with regards to sanitation, cleanliness of furnishings and fittings, tasteful display of daily specials;
• Dealing with passenger complaints in cooperation with the HM.

Reporting to:

• Hotel Manager

Qualification:

At least two years of experience in same or similar position on board;

• Fluent in French and English;
• Good computer skills;
• Knowledge of SPMS/MMS/POS (Fidelio, MXP, Micros etc.) is a plus;
• Excellent knowledge of Public Health regulations such as but not limited to ShipSan, and USPH;
• All certificates and licenses as required by the STCW Code for the position.
