Marine Superintendent

The Company

I am currently working with an established Cruise company, who are looking for a Marine Superintendent to join their team. The position is based in central Europe, and will involve travel.

The Role

As Marine Superintendent you will enjoy a varied role. Responsibilities will include conducting internal audits and inspections, investigating incidents and accidents and providing support to the teams on board regarding safety culture and bridge procedures. The role will have a focus on compliance and continually improving the safety of the entire fleet. You will undertake accident investigations, publish the subsequent reports, and be a key figure in fleet safety training.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Cruise experience sailing as Staff Captain or higher
• Fluent English Language skills (including reading, writing and spoken)
• Strong organisation, delegation and interpersonal skills
• It is essential that you have up to date maritime legislation knowledge
