Job Responsibilities:

• Supports the Photo Manager in the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring consistent delivery of all products and services as per SOP.
• Supervises staff to achieve budgeted revenue each voyage; recommends constructive course correction when Staff consistently underperforms.
• Coaches and develops skilled team members, identifies top performers and mentors them for career advancement.
• Collaborates with Manager to complete timely and accurate end-of-cruise reports with detailed and qualitative comments, communicating revenue issues and opportunities.
• Always executes all operations, standardized marketing strategies, events, visual and advertising directives.
• Thoroughly understands Princess Photo Operations, products and services.
• Willingly and cooperatively tests new products, services or marketing as directed by the corporate office.
• Collaborates with shipboard management to ensure goals are timely achieved and action plans progress as intended.
• Ensures merchandise is restocked daily and neatly presented.
• Consistently produces correctly exposed, focused, and printed images, meeting company standards at all times.
• Supervises staff to ensure inventories, receiving, transfers, deletions, price changes, stock rotations, and bar-coding prints comply with company policies and procedures.
• Ensures all loss prevention measures are in place and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Always responds promptly to resolve passenger requests and concerns, following up with passengers as appropriate, escalating to management as necessary, and suggesting strategies to avoid or mitigate future occurrences.
• Ensures staff take accountability for correctly protecting, using and maintaining issued equipment and Company assets as directed in the policies and procedures.
• Timely resolves any technical issues that affect photo operations; promptly contacts the Technical Controller for additional troubleshooting support.
• Always performs all duties in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, Fleet Regulations, and other internal, external, and governmental regulations as directed.
• Acts as a Company representative and always portrays a positive image of Princess Cruises to all passengers, officers and crew.
• Always maintains professional, effective, and motivated working relationships across all functions, considering differences in cultures, backgrounds and individual personalities.

Qualifications:

• College diploma or equivalent work experience, 2-4 years in a cruise ship staff photographer position. Knowledge of digital photography workflow/commercial printing software.
• Experience and knowledge in aspects of Photo hotel/cruise ship operations within the US/Worldwide. Including knowledge in Digital Photography equipment, processing/printing equipment, PC’s & Photoshop.
