Key Responsibilities of a Japanese International Host/ess:

• Managing and hosting events on board to our international guests
• Written and verbal translation of Menus, daily programmes and announcements
• Working with all departments, including the medical department to translate medical information
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with guests
• Escort International guests on tours and provide translation.

The following experiences are desirable:

• Translating medical information between English & Japanese
• Presenting or hosting in both English & Japanese
• Translating documents between English & Japanese

It is a requirement of employment that all of our seafarers must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 from the 1st December 2021 (either 2 vaccines plus 14 days or 1 single dose vaccine plus 14 days). As part of the application form, you will be asked if you are fully vaccinated.
