Minimum requirements management:

  • Hands On mentality
  • Eye for quality and excellence
  • Proven leadership abilities and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Two to four years work experience in hospitality in a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort, restaurant or passenger ship
  • Fluent command of English

What we offer:

  • Monthly basic salary transferred to a bank account of choice
  • Tip equally shared through all crew members, average of 800 Euro per month
  • Vacation days: every month you will earn vacation days on cumulative basis, after 3-4 month you will go on vacation for 14-42 days, in average management goes on vacation two times during the season, in addition January is usually unpaid vacation
  • Insurance – management will receive private health insurance throughout the contract, accident and death and permanent and total disability, salary continuation is paid after sick leave longer than 42 days
  • Length of the contract: +(-) 9 months, contract is seasonal
  • Travel expenses policy: we are refunding a maximum amount of 400 EUR - for first joining and end of the season travel, after regular completion of contract
  • Management has to arrange the travel on his/her own and needs to submit a travel expense report with original receipts for reimbursement
  • Double accommodation and food included free of charge
  • Training period - while training period crew member is not entitled in tip
  • During the step up period, salary is accordingly adjusted to the position being covered
  • Please note that all contracts issued are Maltese seafarer contract

Accountable to: Hotel Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entire front desk area and gift shop and responsible for housekeeping department
  • Organizing and conducting check in and check out
  • Coordinating and supervising general administrative tasks for all departments
  • Responsible for cost, revenue, and inventory administration
  • Relieving Hotel Manager during his/her absence
  • Handling and resolving travelers’ concerns
  • Any other duties advised by Hotel Manager

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Hotel school diploma or basic education equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in the field of desired position, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant and/or hotel
  • Cruise ship experience is a plus
  • Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Fluency in English
