As Jr Assistant Cruise Director you will create lasting memories by consistently delivering a guest-centric product experience that embraces experiential ownership and aligns with our brand standards, while building positive connections and supporting a guest-centric culture that increases Net Promoter, profitability, Service Excellence, and driving a safe and healthy environment in accordance with HESS protocols. 

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a positive first impression to our guests through a warm, welcoming individual greeting while maintaining a spotless and professional experience. 
• Consistently maintains an engaging presence both on and off stage for an experience for our guests in accordance with brand standards. 
• Owns their experience area and supports the development, implementation, and execution of initiatives in alignment with the Entertainment leadership team. 
• Anticipates and takes ownership of guest needs and requests. 
• Ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in all entertainment activities.
• Being present at gangways for embarkation and disembarkation from the vessel.
• Being aware of the guest's reaction to entertainment events, reporting the level of success to the Cruise Director.
• Being available wherever and whenever needed to assist in the achievement of total guest satisfaction with entertainment programs.
• Spending a proportionate amount of time each day in the company of guests, socializing, and encouraging conversations.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Jr Assistant Cruise Director is the entry level role in the Cruise  Staff Department. Ideal candidates must have:

• At least two years of experience in a hotel or resort / Entertainment role is strongly preferred.
• Strong Public Speaking / Microphone skills. Demonstrated ability to speak effectively before large groups of people.
• Entertainment talents such as dancing, singing, stage performance.
• Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of additional languages is preferred.
• Understanding of the foundation of guest service; ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests. 
• Motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities. 
• Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality. 
• Ability to continuously surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience. 
• Commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment
