ENTERTAINMENT TECHNICAL MANAGER

We are recruiting Entertainment Technical Managers to join our team at sea onboard Marella Cruises’ fleet of ships.

about the role
As the Entertainment Technical Manager you will be managing the on-board technical team and overseeing the delivery and technical needs of the entertainment product in all venues across the ship. You will work with the latest entertainment technology and share your experience and knowledge with other team members in order provide the highest technical standards across the vessel. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership skills who can identify oppertunities to support and develop team members as well as being the point of contact for all entertainment technical queries onboard.

Working closely with the senior management and all departments you will help ted to deliver high quality West End-style production shows in the 'Broadway Show Lounge', exciting events on the open decks as well as nightly gameshows in the 'Squid & Anchor' lounge. You will support the entire Entertainment Technical Team and manage the scheduling for the day-to-day operation across the ship.

skills and experience
For this role you must have a strong technical management background, preferably on board cruise ships. You must have experience in operating sound, lighting, AV and stage equipment as well as strong leadship skills.

You will be highly organised and efficient in creating & managing busy schedules as well as thinking fast and problem solving on the spot. Working closely with the Cruise Director, Assistant Cruise Director and Hotel Director you will ensure the entertainment product onboard enchances the overall passenger experience.

You also need to be competent in enforcing H&S procedures, and assisting with the overall technical operation of theatre production shows. Experience in leading a team and training junior technicains is essential.

contract information
The contract period for this role is up to 9 months with competitive pay, all meals and single occupancy cabin.

All applicants must be fully vaccinated, hold valid STCW certification (or be willing to obtain these) as well as an ENG1 or equivalent seafarer medical certificate.
